Presidents Message
I am excited to serve as your 2024 President of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of IIBEC. Our chapter has achieved Gold status for several consecutive years, thanks to our amazing volunteer leaders and members. It has become clear to me in my years of involvement with IIBEC MAC that we have no shortage of dedicated and hardworking people that are committed to the success of our organization. Being a part of this organization has rewarded me with an expanded network of friends, mentors, and colleagues, and for that, I am thankful. It is my goal as President that our organization continues to provide opportunities for education and networking that have been so instrumental to me in my career.
Our officers and board members will strive to meet monthly to discuss opportunities for events and policies that are important to our organization and the building enclosure industry.
Education Seminars
Our goal is to host a minimum of three full-day seminars in 2024, focusing on relevant and timely topics related to building enclosures.
“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” – Henry Ford
Social Events
We will host our Annual Dinner, Golf Tournament, and Crab Feast this year to serve as networking events for the consultants, architects and engineers, manufacturers, contractors, and other industry experts that make our organization so great. We all work so hard. We should play hard, too.
“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” – James Howell
Scholarships and Community Outreach
As a non-profit organization, we are committed to providing donations to causes important to us and our industry. It is also our mission to engage students from local colleges and universities that express an interest in building enclosures. While our social events are great opportunities for networking, they also serve as our primary fundraisers. The funds we raise from our generous contributors will be distributed to the IIBEC-RCI Foundation and to scholarships for students interested in our industry. Additionally, we hope to finance the trip for 1-3 lucky local students to the 2024 IIBEC International Convention and Trade Show.
“If you haven’t got any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble.” – Bob Hope
I’d like to say ‘thank you’ to all our members and supporters, and ‘welcome’ to anyone new to our chapter. With your help and support, I know 2024 will be another successful year for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of IIBEC. I look forward to getting started!
