The IIBEC Mid-Atlantic Chapter educational seminar scheduled for Thursday, October 20, 2022 is quickly approaching. As always it should prove to be a stimulating and informative gathering.
- Fleece Membranes and Urethane Adhesives – Industry-Leading Performance
Presenter: Jordan Wenger – Carlisle Construction Materials
About the Presentation: Learn about the physical characteristics of different types of fleece-backed single-ply membranes as well as the benefit of two-part urethane adhesives. We will review case studies on new construction and re-roofing options, then discuss the benefits to the building owner as well as the sustainability and durability of the roofing assembly.
About the Presenter: Jordan Wenger is a Product & Application Specialist for Fleece Membrane and Urethane Adhesives at Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM). While at CCM, he has excelled in multiple leadership roles over the years and provides valuable experience to his interactions with design professionals and applicators. Jordan offers technical support, installation assistance and troubleshooting solutions for his respective product lines.

Presenter: Todd Skopic, CSI, CDT, LEED AP, Henry Company
About the Presentation: Learn to avoid below grade leaks with this in-depth presentation about pre-applied waterproofing systems. This course reviews blindside waterproofing and best installation practices, when installed in vertical and horizontal below grade applications, to ensure leak-free and warrantable installations.
About the Presenter: Todd has been involved in the design and construction industry since 1986. Todd has specialized in water, moisture and air intrusion prevention into the building envelope. Additionally, Todd is the subject matter expert for air barriers with the Henry Company. He is active in the following trade associations: CSI, IIBEC, BEC, ASTM E06, ABAA. With both ASTM and ABAA, he serves on technical committees.
- Understanding Roof Drainage
Presenters: Kelly Cronin, Anthony Dukes, and Emmett Horton – Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc.
About the Presentation: A discussion of the basics of roof drainage, recent IBC code requirements for overflow drainage, different codes and standards to use when designing roof drainage, and case studies involving various issues that are faced with roof drainage design.
About the Presenters: Kelly Cronin, Anthony Dukes, and Emmett Horton have extensive experience on a broad range of projects related to construction observation, field quality assurance, condition surveys, structural investigations, and evaluations of new and existing structures.
